Vigil for Manchester

After the Manchester bombing, several Members in Oldham were feeling very upset and frightened by what had happened.

Community Support Worker Glen Cosgrove arranged for a vigil for KeyRing Members to be held at the Fitton Hill Hub with the amazing support of Hannah Chatterley, Debbie Vickers, Jake Tierney, and Leonie Muldowney. The event was well attended by Members across all the Oldham networks, (31 people in total). There was a poem read by KeyRing staff and Members, a round of applause for the emergency services and a balloon release for each of the victims. There was also an area where staff and Members could light a candle and take a moment to reflect.

KeyRing staff and Members also signed a condolence book which will be handed to Chadderton Town Hall for them to keep. The vigil was quite uplifting and hopefully allowed the Members to pay their respects and reflect on the events which took place in Manchester.
