Frequently asked questions

Who is KeyRing for?

KeyRing works mainly with vulnerable adults. However, lots of our Members have other support needs too.

What makes KeyRing so different?

We believe that communities and informal support are very important. We work hard to encourage people to be good neighbours to each other and to share their skills. Our Network model means that there are other members and a Community Living Worker living just around the corner: you are a lot less likely to feel isolated if you live in a Network like this!

How do I make a referral or apply to join a KeyRing Network?

Contact the local Team Manager (see our contacts page) to find out if there are any spaces in a Network near you. If so, we will send you out the right forms and once you have filled them in and returned them, we will call you to arrange a meeting.

I would need more support than KeyRing offers - can I still be part of a Network?

Yes! Lots of our Members have additional support packages and these work alongside KeyRing very well.

I have children - can I join KeyRing?

Yes! KeyRing has lots of Members who are parents.

I live with a partner - can I join KeyRing?

Yes! KeyRing supports lots of couples and people who live with a partner.

Do Members have a say about how KeyRing is run?

KeyRing wants Members to have a powerful voice at all levels of the organisation. We are determined that Member Involvement will not be tokenistic and have a Member Involvement Leader who supports Members to be heard.

KeyRing has a wide range of ways for Members to be involved. These include Member trustees, involvement champions, a Members' newspaper, regional and national forums and a suggestion box.

How do I arrange for someone to give a presentation about KeyRing?

Contact your nearest Team Manager (see our contacts page) who will be happy to help.
