Text: Ancora are sharing their learning and influencing policy at a local and national level. In 2019 Ancora saved £22.49 for every £1 spent. "Ancora will be very much needed going forward." - Cllr C Ball, Deputy Cabinet Member for Education, Employment and Skills

During the last 12 months, Ancora has received almost 600 referrals from people and agencies in the local area. It has been a challenging time but we continue to gain both knowledge and skills which we are able to use to address the many changing difficulties that our referrals present. We offer support during your immediate crisis and run a fun and friendly service.

"Ancora treated us with respect and it felt like the family that we should have had. Nothing was too much to ask for and Ancora went out of their way and beyond what we ever expected, sometimes out of hours."

- a local family who sought help from Ancora

"My life has changed for the better since I contacted Ancora. They didn't just help me with my problems, they taught me how to deal with things myself. I feel happy and confident and the best thing is, I can help other people."

- Mandy, Ancora Project participant

Living on a low income?

We also run Money Management and Life Skills courses so people are better able to manage their finances and other issues. Please call Lisa on 07917 686654, and she will be pleased to give you more information. What can you lose? Everyone welcome!

As they haven't been able to meet in person the current Life Skills group has been meeting online. Recently they got together on zoom for a cooking session. Everyone's ingredients were delivered in advance and they all cooked a healthy stew together. They also talked about healthy eating and cooking on a budget.
