Housing related support helps people to build their independence. They may already be living independently and need a bit of support or they might be making a move towards independence. It can help people with lots of things like:
We have lots of different services across England and Wales. Many of them offer housing related support. You can call our local team and ask if this is something they can help you with. If we do not provide housing related support in your area we may be able to point you in the direction of someone who can.
Many providers will do things for people which is great but it doesn’t really help that person to become more independent. We give people the skills and confidence to do things for themselves and we will keep reminding them that they can do. This can take a long time for some people. For others, they take to it really quickly.
We don’t just encourage people to do things for themselves, we also encourage peer support. This means that the people we support help each other. They build friendships and connections. They challenge each other and they learn from each other.
Local authorities commission us to deliver support in local areas. Sometimes this means that we can only work with a certain set of people. This could be people who have learning disabilities, mental health issues or older people. Some areas have open contracts which mean we can work with anyone who needs our help.
Get in contact with us to find out how we can support you.
We’d love to chat if we can help develop KeyRing’s services in a new area. We know that there is never one size fits all so we can flexible. Get in touch with us by email email@example.com or phone 020 3119 0960.
