Does KeyRing offer housing related support?
We have lots of different services across England and Wales. Many of them offer housing related support. You can call our local team and ask if this is something they can help you with. If we do not provide housing related support in your area we may be able to point you in the direction of someone who can.
What's different about KeyRing's housing related support?
Many providers will do things for people which is great but it doesn't really help that person to become more independent. We give you the skills and confidence to do things for yourself. This can take a long time for some people. For others, they take to it really quickly. Either way is fine, it is part of a journey.
We don't just encourage you to do things for yourself, we also encourage peer support. This means that the people we support help each other. You will build friendships and connections. You challenge each other and learn from each other.
Who do we provide housing related support to?
Local authorities commission us, (pay for us) to deliver support in local areas. Sometimes this means that we can only work with a certain set of people. This could be people who have learning disabilities, mental health issues or older people. Some areas have open contracts which mean we can work with anyone who needs our help. Some local authorities call this a vulnerable adult service. It's just another way of saying 'people who need support to build their independence'.
