Volunteers' Week: Sarah's story

Sarah has been volunteering at the Warrington Hub for five months. During this time, one of her standout experiences has been supporting both Members and staff in running the weekly drop-in sessions at the day centre.

When I asked Sarah what volunteering means to her, she shared that it’s an opportunity to help others while also building her own confidence and developing new skills. Having been out of work for several years, Sarah values the structure and sense of purpose that volunteering brings to her week.

"Volunteering for KeyRing motivates me to get up and support others," Sarah said. "The sense of reward I get from it is immense."

Looking ahead, Sarah hopes to use her experience as a springboard into paid employment. We’re proud to have her as part of the team and look forward to supporting her journey.
